Construction of a terminal in Chunoyar
LLC "Vostochny Transport Complex" (VTK), which is part of the GC "Maximum", with the support of the new partner of the group - LLC "Levana" - began designing a container terminal in the north-eastern part of the Krasnoyarsk Territory – the village of Chunoyar.
The main task of the terminal is to ensure stable containerization of the export of forest goods in accordance with the needs of the clients of the Maximum Group of companies from the Krasnoyarsk timber processing enterprises.
The container terminal is located on the territory owned by Levana LLC and is already provided with access roads. At the moment, design work is underway and the opening of paths under paragraphs 8H, 10H, 11H and 12H for operations with containers is being completed. According to forecasts, the first container shipments will begin in the 4th quarter of this year. The capacities of the Chunoyarsk terminal will be focused on route shipments of containers through the seaports of the Far East (Nakhodka Vostochnaya, Vladivostok), as well as through land border crossings to China and Mongolia – Zabaikalsk, Dostyk and Naushki. VTK LLC plans to export 1 container train weekly, having established a regular schedule. Thus, the terminal expects to ship 300 units of 40-foot containers monthly, which is equivalent to about 7000 TEU/year. The terminal will involve not only international container lines APL, Maersk, Sinokor, Hyundai, CMA CGM, but also Chinese transport companies.
Lumber shipments will be carried out to East Asian countries – China, Japan and Korea. The project of a container terminal based on Chunoyar will serve as a foundation for the implementation of such construction in Kansk, located 247 km from Krasnoyarsk – now preparations for the design are already underway there.
